Saturday 19th October
"It was a quiet affair in true Clandon style resulting in three arrests for public indecency, one dog bite and the Noise Abatement Society serving us with a petition from Ripley residents. The evening was started early by a few entrenched alcoholics meeting in The Ship to sink (tee hee) a quick one (where the group was swollen by a bevy of beauties) before moving off to The Half Moon for a cheeky (ha ha) couple or three (YOU KNOW WHO WE MEAN PAPILLION) before weighing in (groan - stop, stop) at The Anchor. There we had great wine, oh and some food, before staggering a curious path back to The Half Moon for a night-cap. Congrats to Knickers, Pete and Clarky for enduring the antics sober(ish). I had a thoroughly deserved blurry Sunday - hope you were all rewarded with the same! Our thanks, as always, to Pants for organising the event and also to Clarky (our Shite in Nining Armour) for having a people-carrier and for daring to take several of us home - our gratitude, Dettox and wet-wipes to you Stephen.
